-aero changes
-Kers system
-stewards will give out info on why they make decisions they make, so it wont be so secretive.

Ferrari "F60" as its being called has been revealed. check it out, the front wing is more noticeable to me than the rear. i think all the cars will look pretty much the same, except for their liveries, i dont think they can modify wings anymore than it is already.

That's what's fun about testing...trying to figure out who's running what, watching the changes to the cars as the season gets closer - williams new "elephant ears" next to the cockpit for one - and the fact that nobody has a clue how the times will reflect come melbourne.

To bad they're not a reflection of real times.....with the Mclaren so far down the time sheets, that would be sweet.

if anyone is still paying attention to testing in Jerez, while the times usually don't mean a whole lot, reliability is more predictable....Ferrari and Mclaren have been having a lot of breakdowns......The Merc engine has blown in the Mclaren several times this week already and the Ferrari's electronics keep shutting down. Hmmmm... Wonder how much the Merc engine blowing has to do with KERS? And the same for Ferrari's electronics, although they're both very quiet about the reasons - obviously.

In the past when there's been reg changes this big, the field has been unpredictable, until the big money boys finally seperate from the rest of the pack.....with budget cuts, the big money boys are not that much bigger anymore...they are, but not supposed to be. This is going to be fun.

i think it will take about 3 to 4 races for for the grid to settle in, or it may never set end and each race is completely different from the previous, with no PROCESSIONS.

Dudes, i'm starting to wonder if the new Mclaren is a pig................

hami crashed and blew it up anyway he knew how last week and now in barcelona, it's at the bottom of the timesheets. I know testing means little but Mclaren have to be getting nervous...

My fingers are crossed....lol

Wow, those new BrawnGP cars are FAST! There's been some cat fighting about it already but mostly from Woking and their large network of apologists but man, that car is fast. Look out, here comes Ross Brawn!

yep, the rear section on the mclaren is suspect, they were using 08 spec wing at jerez test, wtf? lol. susposedly its close to the rear wing configuration that they will use with 09 spec wing in melbourne, i guess they kno what there are doing......Massa said in interview that the new Brawn Gp car should win melbourne, lol. and that ferrari isnt where they want to be at the moment.

competition already giving up 4days before start. no one really knows if bgp cars were using weight specified by new fia rules or if there were under the weight spec. if they were following rules, then ouch, button should be one happy brit come round one in 13days.

many teams trying to get sponsors, i think.
still, they doing good is good news.
Mcl maybe trying to hide their rear wing design so no one can copy.lol.
Otherwise, it will be ross brown vs Ferrari.

wonder how many cars hami will take out in melbourne because he's throwing tantrum about his car being slow....I can hear the crying now. we'll see come melbourne, but i'd be willing to bet mid pack is where mcl ends up. i'm starting a spreadsheet now to keep track of all the excuses hami will have this year. All the hami lovers say he's the best no matter how good the car is, well looks like we'll find out one way or another this year.

Hope Brawn gets some wins.

DID YOU GUYS HEAR THAT FIA HAS CHANGED THE RULES OF THIS SEASON 9 DAYS! BEFORE SEASON STARTS? NOW THE DRIVER WITH THE MOST WINS WILL WIN CHAMPIONSHIP.......THEY ARE THROWING CONSISTANCY OUT THE WINDOW, WHICH ISNT RIGHT IN MY OPINION. THE LAST TWO SEASONS HAVE BEEN THE CLOSEST CHAMPIONSHIP BATTLES IN HISTORY AND THEY MAKE SOME STUPID CHANGE LIKE THIS?? OH MY GOD.

CHECK OUT THE LINK
http://www.formula1.com/news/headlines/2009/3/9024.html

I THOUGHT NEW CARS WERE ENOUGH BUT NOW THIS TOO, BOY I HOPE THIS ALL WORKS. REALLY, I MEAN, I KNOW THEY WANT MORE PASSING BUT THIS CRAZY. WE PROBABLY WILL SEE MORE WRECKS BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO GET A "W". THEY SHOULD HAVE WAITED ONE YEAR, TO SEE IF THE PASSING IS BETTER WITH NEW CARS , INSTEAD BASICALLY CREATING A NEW RACING LEAGUE WITH ALL THESE RULE CHANGES ALL AT ONCE.

THAT GOD DANG ECCLESTONE, STUPID MEDAL SYSTEM, IT AINT MEDALS BUT BASICALLY HE GOT WHAT HE WANTED. A RACE DRIVER NOW CAN WIN 5 RACES AND HAVE 5-6 DNFS AND STILL HAVE SHOT TO WIN TITLE WITH THIS NEW SCENARIO, NOT FAIR AT ALL TO THOSE CONSISTANT DRIVERS IN THE FIELD WHO DONT WIN BUT ARE ALWAYS CONSTANT SCORING POINTS, SUCH AS HEIDFELD.

**I HOPE IT WORKS AND THERE ISNT ANY CRAZY SCENARIOS AT SEASON END. THEY SHOULD JUST KEEP IT THE SAME, ITS NOT LIKE THE RATINGS ARE DOWN I DONT BELIEVE, F1 IS THE HIGHEST RANKED WATCHED MOTORSPORT IN THE WORLD. UNDER THIS SCENARIO MASSA WOULD HAVE WON CHAMPIONSHIP LAST SEASON, EVEN THOUGH NOT SCORING MORE POINTS THAN HAMILTON, THATS STUPID IN MY OPINION

The new rule changes to decide the drivers champion are just stupid. It's as simple as that. There's no way the FIA thinks that system is workable. It happened for one reason and one reason only, to slap FOTA in the face. It's going to come back to haunt them and the sooner the better.

Bernie and Max are two prime examples of why I have no moral problem with wishing some people would just hurry up and die.

the drivers do not even like the new rules, you think they can boycott for rule change? heres what they had to say

Nick Heidfeld on Wednesday was among a number of drivers to comment on the late change to the points system ahead of the 2009 season.

Despite some quarters welcoming the move to guarantee the winner of the most races the drivers' title, the more widespread reaction to the 'gold medals'-style regime has been negative.

"It's a matter of taste, but my taste is not for that," BMW Sauber's Heidfeld told Germany's SID news agency.

"I like the old way better. With points it is comprehensible. There is not only one or a few races (in a season), but 17 or 18."

He said the new system is not straightforward, given that while the 2009 champion could have fewer points than the runner-up, the rest of the standings will be ranked by regular points order.

"I find that silly. The basis should be the same for all," Heidfeld added.

His German countryman Nico Rosberg slammed the new system as "nonsense", while Brawn's Jenson Button - tipped by Bernie Ecclestone as an outsider for the title because of the change - warned the rulemakers that their scheme could backfire.

"I understand the logic behind it and it's interesting," the Briton said. "It's an incentive to try to win but it also looks risky to me."

"After nine races you could get a driver who's already won the title and can take the rest of the season off, while the driver in second is only 18 points behind," he remarked.

When Ecclestone first proposed his radical 'medals' idea, reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton made clear he did not back it because 'the team who is most consistent' should house the title winner.

At the Jerez test on Wednesday, he insisted: "I have no opinion on this."

THIS RULE IF NOT CHANGED IN MIDSEASON WILL BE CHANGED AT SEASONS END, WHEN 2ND PLACE IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP HAS MORE POINTS OVERALL THAN MOST WINNER.
